- Dwelling on the past, or on your mistakes
- Blaming yourself for things that are not your fault
Coaching is a personal development tool. It is a conversational-based approach to moving someone from where they are now to where they want to be. It is a journey of reflection, discovery and self-awareness, that focuses on the future rather than the past and solutions rather than problems.
Coaching can take place in either an exclusive one-to-one setting, or as part of a group.
I’m am a fully qualified coach. I trained with the Animas Centre for Coaching, the world’s leading school of Transformational Coaching, accredited by the globally recognised International Coach Federation (ICF). I’ve also studied psychology at degree level. This makes me a fully qualified, accredited and certified coach.
My clients tell me they choose me because “I’m relatable” and “I GET IT”. That’s because I know how it feels to be stuck. I’ve struggled with my own mental health, experienced stress, overwhelm and imposter syndrome. I’ve hit rock bottom personally and professionally but I’ve always got back up again STRONGER and I can help you to do the same.
Prior to coaching, I worked in HR, recruitment & leadership roles giving me a vast understanding of people.
Over the last 5 years I’ve coached hundreds of people from all over the world and from a variety of backgrounds including sales, recruitment, property, HR, science and many more.
Technically, no. Whilst there are similarities between coaching and traditional therapies such as counselling, coaching does not *treat* or *diagnose* medical or mental health conditions. In the event you are, or suspect you may be suffering from a mental illness you are encouraged to seek the help of a professional medical practitioner such as your GP before embarking on a coaching programme.
My approach to coaching is supportive, yet solution and action-focused. That means as well as talking about stuff I help you to get results.
The exact coaching tools I use with each client varies depending on where our coaching conversations take us, but generally I used a blend of the following coaching methodologies and techniques: person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural coaching, transactional analysis, narrative coaching and visualisation.
Past clients have gone on to find a new job, get promoted, change career, set up their own profitable business or receive a substantial salary increase.
Some past clients have even told me coaching has saved their personal relationships with their partner and family!
But most importantly all of my clients feel less stressed, anxious and have more confidence, combined with improved habits, behaviours and thinking patterns, after working with me.
Almost anyone can benefit from coaching, with the caveat that you want to be coached.
I specialise in coaching women, but I also coach men when the fit is right.
We will work well together if you are a deep thinker (like me), you are aware of your emotions, you are ready and willing to be honest with yourself and me and you are open to exploring new ways of thinking and doing things.
